The Prophecies Of Daniel 2

Available: macOS, Windows, Android, Tablet

Although Daniel 2:45 states that the great statue composed of four metals and with feet of clay reveals the future, relatively few biblical scholars have understood it as an amazingly accurate timeline that does exactly that. Liberals have been unwilling to consider that the statue's fourth kingdom is Rome. Most conservatives have recognized that it is Rome, but they have gone astray by seeking a nonexistent link between that ancient empire and the modern world. The key to understanding the statue is to recognize that it presents a prophecy that was fulfilled in the first century by the Coming of Christ, which was the historical equivalent of the rock that destroys the statue. The rock's growth into the mountain that covers all of Earth foretells a process that began in the first century and includes the thousand years of Revelation 20. This process appears to have reached a historical climax in our own time. John S. Evans is a retired professor of economics and international finance who taught at the University of Alabama from 1968 until 2000 after beginning his teaching career in 1959 at the University of South Dakota. His professional accomplishments included a year in Mexico as a Fulbright Lecturer and the writing of a textbook on international financial management. Since 1996, when he went into partial retirement, his primary intellectual activity has consisted of the intensive study of the Bible, with emphasis on the Book of Daniel. In 2004, he published with Xulon Press The Four Kingdoms of Daniel: A Defense of the "Roman" Sequence with AD 70 Fulfillment. The present book expands on parts of The Four Kingdoms and offers much new material. Evans has authored over thirty articles that have been posted at planetpreterist.com and has been a frequent guest on John Anderson's "Voice of Reason."

Studies In The Book Of Daniel 2 Volumes

Available: macOS, Windows, Android, Tablet

With thoroughness Wilson tackles some of the questions raised regarding the historical statements in the Book of Daniel. The authenticity of Daniel has been doubted or disparaged for a variety of reasons. No one person has examined in more detail the claims of those who point out the ÒflawsÓ in Daniel than did Robert Dick Wilson. Each of the eighteen chapters in his first book deals with a separate allegation, and with characteristic thoroughness he defends the book against its critics. In the second volume Wilson deals forthrightly with the relationship of Daniel to the canon of the Old Testament, discussing the apocalypses and date of Daniel, and then significantly measuring the influence, background, and prophecies of Daniel. Wilson discusses the principles underlying the objections leveled at the book of Daniel. He states each principle along with the assumptions on which it is based, lists reasons why the assumptions are false, and finally draws conclusions from the discussion. Readers will appreciate the expertly prepared indexes.

Aramaic Daniel And Greek Daniel

Available: macOS, Windows, Android, Tablet

Daniel 2-7 are noteworthy chapters in the Bible, partly because they are in Aramaic rather than Hebrew and partly because the early Greek translation of those chapters, known to us as the Septuagint, is quite different from the Aramaic text that we have. This book highlights and analyzes the differences by exploring the effectiveness of each version as a piece of narrative. A new appreciation of the craft of the Aramaic narrative is one result. Another is an enhanced understanding of how biblical narrative handles symbolism. Through this study the reader also gains insight into differing circles of wisdom in Persian times, each giving rise to a textual tradition still accessible to us.

Daniel 911 The Writing Is On The Wall

Available: macOS, Windows, Android, Tablet

We see in the book of Daniel increasing intensification of detail, chapter after chapter and verse by verse. The reader will see that God has outlined various historical Empires; the Roman Empire, the Holy Roman Empire, the Napoleonic Empire, the events of WWI and WWII, and then finally down to the antichrist who will rule the whole earth. We shall see starting in Daniel chapter 11: 14-19 that the identifiable final two kings of the north and the south are Hitler and Mussolini and prior to the final two kings, one of these being the Antichrist. Then by moving backwards and forwards through Chapters 11 and 12, and using their lineage, we can establish who the rest of these mentioned kings of the north and the south were, and where the two "future kings" will come from. We will prove that the last king of the north is the antichrist, and also an Assyrian (German). By use of common historical knowledge we can identify whom these past kings were, since the reign of Alexander the Great.
